Certification

Southwest Adventures' Guides follow the standard practices employed by American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) and the IFMGA / UIAGM, the main professional orginazations for our trade. Director and Head Guide Nathan Disser is an AMGA Certified Rock Guide and oversees all of the training for aspirant guides at Southwest Adventure Guides. Many of our guides are certified by these organizations in addition to Southwest Adventure Guides' certification program. Guide certification is just one component of excellence and cannot be a substitute for work experience and in house training, which all of our guides possess.
